administration opposed cispa on privacy grounds mainly. this time around, a lot of it is centered on the liability protections that are contained in the bill. obviously businesses have some reluctance to give up cyber information, especially when shareholders are concerned. a lot of what they're worried about is they could be sued by shareholders or the broader public for giving up this information to the government. and so one of the things that companies have been insisting on are strong liability protections to make sure that they've been somewhat protected from lawsuits. the white house, on the other hand, thinks that those protections that are already written into the bill are just a little bit too strong and ideally, the obama administration says those would be curtailed a little bit. >> john: it will be fascinating watching how this thing plays out. technology correspondent for the "national journal," ryan fung, thank you for your time and expertise on this issue and for educating the rest of us about it. hope to have you again. >>
